The Role
Required April/September 2021
Ernest Bevin College is seeking an exceptional teacher to lead our English Department. The role will involve working with a senior leader to improve literacy across the college and we are really pleased to also offer Media Studies.
The successful candidate will lead our well-established Department in the college’s drive to raise standards in English and continue our journey of improvement which last year saw over 75% of our GCSE students gain a 4+/good pass.

The college is based in Tooting, close to excellent transport links and has fantastic facilities including a swimming pool and a fitness studio which are used by students, staff and the community.
At GCSE the achievement of our boys outperforms every headline measure of boys for Local Authority Maintained schools. In 2020 our A*-C results at A Level improved by 12% and over 120 students from our mixed Sixth Form took up places at some of the finest universities in the country.
