Head of Finance for Adult Social Care & Public Health is a vital financial leadership role. You will advise senior directors and Councillors, lead a large team and contribute to the ongoing transformation of our services to residents.
About the role
As both Councils’ Head of Finance for Adult Social Care and Public Health you will oversee the Directorate’s resources, including financial planning, budget management and delivery of the Directorate’s savings and transformation programme. This role will provide you with the opportunity to lead and develop a team of 70 providing high quality finance support services including leading the Financial Assessments, Payments, Client Financial Affairs and Direct Payments functions.
Working closely with the Director of Adult Social Care and Public Health, your financial advice will be critical to effective financial management within Richmond and Wandsworth Councils’ shared staffing arrangement.
About you
We expect that you will be a qualified accountant with experience leading the provision of financial advice and financial services in complex public sector organisations. Energetic, resilient and inquisitive, your natural approach will be to strive for better.
