Job Title: Head of Organisation Culture and Engagement

Salary Range: MG2 £66,318 - £80,874

Permanent

Full Time: 36 hrs per week

Location: Wandsworth Town Hall, Twickenham Civic Centre and Remote

As the Head of Organisation Culture and Engagement, you will be at the forefront of fostering a bold, positive, and welcoming organisational culture within Richmond and Wandsworth Councils - Better Service Partnership.

Your mission will be to ensure that the employee voice is not only heard but also valued, creating an environment where staff feel inspired and engaged.  You will oversee a wide range of initiatives which impact staff wellbeing, equality, motivation, productivity and retention.

Deputising for the Assistant Director of Organisational Development and Internal Communications you will play a key role in building a strong culture of growth, equality and an employer brand that we can promote and celebrate with our staff.

About The Role:

Lead Cultural Transformation: Drive the development, implementation and impact of strategies which promote a values-led workplace, aligning with the Councils’ strategic objectives.

Programme Management: Design, implement, and oversee programmes that drive engagement and culture transformation, ensuring successful execution and measurable outcomes.

Communication Skills: Deliver compelling presentations and public speaking engagements with clarity and confidence, effectively conveying messages to diverse audiences.

Championing Employee Engagement: Develop and execute innovative strategies which enhance employee satisfaction and commitment, leveraging insights into best practices and emerging trends.

Organisational Development and Culture Change: Apply your understanding of issues around staff surveys and understanding the effectiveness of staff engagement. Utilising focus groups and employee forums to shape and influence our workplace environment positively.

Knowledge of EDI/OD: Integrate principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion into all aspects of your role, ensuring our initiatives are inclusive and equitable.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- CIPD and or equivalent CIPR or relevant experience in a similar role.

- Proven expertise in Organisational Development and Communications.

- Experience of leading organisational culture initiatives with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

- Excellent presentation skills to executive and senior management.
