About Us

Richmond Park Academy is a vibrant and diverse school in Richmond. Following the promotion of the existing Principal, we are now looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-looking leader who has the requisite drive, skills and experience to lead the Academy through the next stage of its development.

The school currently educates almost 1,000 pupils aged 11-18 and is firmly rooted in its community. Staff are committed to providing an excellent education and enabling pupils to have the opportunities that they deserve. The school had an ungraded inspection in December 2022 and maintained Good.

The successful candidate will bring significant expertise and experience, and a proven track record of positive impact in a variety of leadership roles. The successful candidate will have experience of raising standards in teaching and learning and understand the importance of building school culture where all members of the school community can thrive. The successful candidate will have exceptional communications skills, allowing them to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents, as well as with key external stakeholders.

Richmond Park Academy is part of a national network of schools at AET, brought together by the belief that each and every child has an entitlement to an excellent education in every classroom, every day. An excellent education transforms lives and every pupil who attends one of our schools should be given the support, care and opportunity they need to flourish. We leverage our scale to support all our teachers, leaders and young people to be the best they can be. The successful candidate will be ready to take on not just the role of principal, but to contribute to trust wide strategy, through our network leadership groups.

The successful candidate will be joining one of the largest and most inclusive trusts in the country.

We would welcome applications from deputy headteachers or vice principals looking for their first headship. We have strong induction and development support in place. AET will support the Head of School with the expertise of a Regional Executive Principal and a Regional Education Director, as well as a highly effective team of national subject leads and central support for Finance, HR, IT, Estates and other functions.

If you are excited by this role and believe you have the values, vision, and expertise to lead the academy to sustainable excellence, then we want to hear from you.
