Service Manager - Special Needs Assessment Service (SNAS)

The Role

There could not be a better time to join our Children’s Services team in Wandsworth. Our Wandsworth Special Needs Assessment Service has recently been expanded and currently supports 2000 children and young people with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans.

We are looking for a change agent keen to join the service to help us to deliver our transformation agenda. Therefore, if you are a resilient experienced leader with great ambition for children, we want you to lead our Special Needs Assessment Service.

We want you to bring a track record of robust governance and strong operational management to ensure that our statutory responsibilities for children with special needs are effectively delivered and compliant with regulations in order to secure outcomes compatible with the legal framework and the local authority's performance targets.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain an up to date knowledge of changing case law and legal change in SEN. Staff support, supervision and development will also be at the heart of your agenda.

We are looking for a good ambassador of partnership working committed to strengthening the co-production agenda even further.
