Home Improvement Agency - Caseworker

The Role

Our in-house Home Improvement Agency (HIA) enables vulnerable residents to live independently. We provide advice, assistance and support to older or disabled residents who wish to adapt their homes.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Caseworker for our HIA who has experience of working within the HIA sector or another relevant area such as Housing, Social Care or Benefits advice.

You will be required to visit residents in their homes in order to undertake financial assessments, complete a holistic checklist and an understanding of the different types of adaptations undertaken by the HIA.

In addition to the above you should have:-

  • a proven track record of undertaking holistic assessment and delivering support
  • a good grasp of benefit and housing issues
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • a commitment to customer service
  • good IT skills
  • problem solving Skills
  • the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
