Information, Advice and Support Officer
The Role
Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with Special, Educational Needs or a Disability(SEND)?
You will be joining a respected and established service where you will be one of the first point of contacts for telephone, email and face to face enquiries; providing information, advice and support, signposting to other services and agencies where appropriate.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable professional who is:
1. Committed to supporting parents to make informed decisions about their children
2. Open to listening and considering other points of views
3. Able to adapt to changing service demands
4. Reflective in their practice and approach
5. Solution focused in sometimes challenging situations
6. A team player
7. Interested in learning about the Law on SEND
We provide a statutory impartial, confidential information, advice and support service on matters relating to children and young people with SEND. The service is offered to parents and children and young people aged 0-25 years old.
Training on SEND Law will be provided as it is essential to the role.
This post is provided to Wandsworth residents only. You will be required to travel to meetings within and outside of Wandsworth.
