Inspection and Enforcement Officer

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Inspection & Enforcement Officer to join our Team.

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and London Borough of Wandsworth present this unique and great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that are responsible for providing efficient, proactive cyclic highway inspections and other highway services covering utility activities and highway enforcement located in both boroughs.

Whilst the duties in the main will be undertaken in a designated geographical area of the Borough, it will be necessary from time to time, to provide support as part of a team undertaking a comprehensive range of services to deal with contracted On Street Activities Borough wide. You must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An understanding of New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA),
  • Experience of carrying out enforcement action,
  • The ability to undertake walked inspections (7-10 kilometres per day),
  • The ability to take accurate measurements,
  • Experience of maintaining detailed records and preparing reports,
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
