Kitchen Porter & General Assistant - Ashcroft Technology Academy

The Role

Kitchen Porter

Salary circa £9.75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
25 hours per week, ½ hr. unpaid break - term time only (paid 45.8 weeks per year). Some overtime required on occasions
Hours – 10.00am – 3.30pm
Occupational pension scheme, Annual Attendance Bonus

To work in any section of the kitchen as directed by the Cook and/or Restaurant Manager. This will also include washing up and cleaning duties as required.

Clean and maintain the kitchen and service area to a high standard.

Check stock and put deliveries away

Use of dishwasher during service.

General Assistant

Salary circa £9.75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
15 hours per week - term time only (paid 45.8 weeks per year). Some overtime required on occasions
Hours – 12.00pm – 3.00pm
Occupational pension scheme, Annual Attendance Bonus

To assist in providing a quality food service for all students and staff and assist in preparing the dining area.  This will include making-up sandwiches and salads and preparing the Deli Bar for service. Set up and serve during lunch service. Clean down at the end of day to current guidelines

Ashcroft Technology Academy is extremely popular and is very heavily oversubscribed for place. It also had an excellent track record of public examination results and standards of student behaviour. The Academy also has an excellent reputation for its catering provision and is popular with students.
