Leader of Maths and Numeracy - Francis Barber Pupil Referral Unit

Are you passionate about ensuring young people have a second chance at education?  We are seeking a committed and dynamic Leader of Maths and Numeracy at Francis Barber PRU. You will be teaching small groups of KS3 and KS4 pupils in a supportive environment across both the PRU sites in Wandsworth. Francis Barber is a highly successful PRU and works with pupils who have found it challenging in mainstream schools or who have moved into the borough and are awaiting a school place.

We were inspected by OFSTED in December 2017 and received a GOOD report. There were many outstanding features.  There is a friendly and welcoming ethos and a variety of activities both during the day and after school. These along with good keyworking help young people make changes which enable them to be successful in their education.

The successful candidate will be able to teach high quality and engaging lessons, will lead a team committed to raising the achievement of all pupils and support Year 11’s to gain good results in Edexcel linear GCSE exams. Many pupils also gain accreditations through the AQA Unit Awards, Functional Skills Level 1 and level 2 & Entry level tests.
