The Role

To start as soon as possible
Term Time only (39 weeks per year), 30 hours per week

The successful candidate will work supporting a specific young person both in and out of the classroom. There will be in class learning support as well as some intimate care when necessary. The pupil is male and his preference is for a male carer, however, this is not to exclude suitably experience female applicants. Previous experience of working with young people with personal care needs including manual handling and hoist training, is desirable but not essential, and the successful candidate will have a genuine desire to see pupils with a range of needs included within the normal classroom environment wherever possible.  A good standard of literacy and numeracy is a prerequisite for this post.

The nearest underground station is Southfields (District line – zone 3 and less than a 5 minute walk) which is only

5 minutes from Wimbledon station and 16 minutes from Earls Court. The area is also well served by numerous bus connections to Clapham Junction and Richmond.
