Learning and Development Adviser

The Role

Learning and Development Advisor role has arisen on a flexible part time basis for Richmond and Wandsworth Council.  We are a small friendly team within a busy HR section, providing learning and development solutions and support across both councils.  The role is varied and provides lots of opportunity for you to interact with a wide group of people (albeit remotely at the moment) and continuously develop your skills.

The Learning and Development Advisor will be responsible for planning, designing and delivering a range of in-house courses, creating storyboards for e-learning packages and, commissioning external courses. The scope of the work completed will be dependent on the council’s priorities some of these are: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, remote and agile working, and soft skills. We are working to a blended approach to deliver learning and development utilising Microsoft 365.

You should have a genuine passion for learning and development, be able to work flexibly and effectively and, communicate well with a wide range of people.  A working knowledge of MS Office 365 suite of packages especially OneDrive, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Word are essential.

This opportunity is suitable for both experienced professionals and those who are new/looking to break into the field that have the necessary transferable skills. The Learning and Development Advisor will be required to work 14.40 hours per week. We are open to those working hours consisting of 2 working days or a combination of morning and afternoons.
