Where you’ll be working
You’ll join our lifeguarding team at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre, TW11 8EZ
 
Facilities here include main and learner pools, fitness suite, spin studio, hydrotherapy pool and studio space. 
 
The Centre is open 7 days a week from 6.30am to 10pm.

What you’ll be doing
Providing a professional and friendly approach to pool safety will be your main objective. Making sure that all customers are kept in a safe and secure environment, delivering great customer service and ensuring facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience.

What we’ll need from you
You must be IQL/RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualified for this role.  A first aid qualification and some experience would also be very desirable. Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.  
 
You’ll also need a good knowledge of Health & Safety and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of a service.  
 
You’ll be expected to work the following rolling shift pattern, averaging 18.5 hours per week:

Week 1:
Mon 1pm to 7.15pm (includes 45min unpaid break)
Tue 2.30pm to 8.40pm (includes 25min unpaid break)
Wed Off
Thu 2.30pm to 6.30pm (no break)
Fri 2.50pm to 9.30pm (40min unpaid break)
Sat & Sun Off
Total of 21hrs 15mins worked
 
Week 2:
Mon Off
Tue 4pm to 7pm (no break)
Wed Off
Thu 3.20pm to 10pm (40min unpaid break)
Fri 2.50pm to 9.30pm (40min unpaid break)
Sat Off
Sun 3.30pm to 9pm (30min unpaid break)
Total of 20hrs worked
 
Week 3:
Mon Off
Tue 1.40pm to 8.20pm (40min unpaid break)
Wed Off
Thu 3.30pm to 10.30pm (45min unpaid break)
Fri 6.40pm to 8.40pm (no break)
Sat & Sun Off

Week 4:
Mon 3.20pm to 10pm (40min unpaid break)

What we can offer you
Starting salary will be £11,527pa for 18.5hrs
Salary progression range is £11,527 to £13,643pa
