We have an excellent success rate of returning pupils to special and mainstream schools and post 16 college placements.

Due to additional funding we are delighted to be able to create a new post for an additional Learning Mentor to be responsible for delivering interventions around Literacy to pupls on a 1:1 basis and to small groups and to support youngsters in practicing their literacy skills.  The successful candidates will have excellent inter-personal skills and will be able to work flexibly in response to pupil and PRU needs. They will have the ability to diffuse challenging situations and help the pupils understand the barriers they have to learning, encouraging them to put strategies in place which enable them to become successful. Training will be provided.

Francis Barber PRU was inspected by OFSTED in Dec 2017 and received a GOOD report. There were many outstanding features including “The effectiveness of care, guidance and support”.
