About the service

Wandsworth Children’s Services have the highest ambitions to deliver the very best for our children and young people. We are passionate about improving the lives and life chances of children and young people. We are looking to permanently recruit to an exciting Marketing and Communications Manager post.

About the role

The role is part of the Performance and Improvement Function. The wider function team regularly meet virtually and in person throughout the month. There are weekly ‘huddles’ to keep informed and updated on the wider team’s work, broadening your understanding of our ambitious and continuous improvements to ensure Wandsworth is the best place to grow up.

As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will:

  • Have an active knowledge of the issues facing children nationally and be able to quickly understand how these affect children and families locally in Wandsworth.
  • Be capable of responding swiftly to emerging issues.
  • Manage a small communications team responsible for delivering proactive and reactive internal digital communications, to ensure everyone across the directorate is informed and up to date through key messages. 

You will be encouraged to use your full range of skills within this role and will be supported in your professional development with exciting ongoing training and development opportunities.
