Mental Health Counsellor and Wellbeing Support - Ernest Bevin College

The Role

20 hour per week
Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Required September 2021

Ernest Bevin College is seeking a qualified and committed Mental Health Counsellor and Wellbeing Support. This role will be assisted by our Pastoral teams and Senior Leaders and will report to the Directors of Learning. A key part of this role involves counselling students for a range of social, emotional and mental health issues and providing students with a safe and non-judgemental way to voice their concerns or worries. As well as work with the pastoral teams (Directors of Learning and Head of Years) to support students on a range of wellbeing and mental health issues that may arise.

At GCSE the achievement of our boys outperforms every headline measure of boys for Local Authority Maintained schools. In 2020 our A*-C results at A Level improved by 12% and over 120 students from our mixed Sixth Form took up places at some of the finest universities in the country.
