Music Leader - Hillbrook Primary School

The Role

Hillbrook is more than a primary school, it is a happy, successful learning community where everyone is welcomed and valued.

We are a large 3/4 form entry Outstanding Primary School with a fantastic reputation. We are at the heart of a diverse and vibrant multi-ethnic community located in Tooting South West London, very close to both Tooting Broadway and Tooting Bec Stations.

We are looking for a talented, innovative and enthusiastic teacher and musician to teach music across the school (during class teacher PPA release) and to co-ordinate music across the school, including whole school music events such as school performances and assemblies. It would also include leading after-school clubs such as choir, bands or music groups. This post is suitable for a qualified teacher with a music specialism or expertise who is able to inspire and develop future musicians at Hillbrook.  An 0.8 arrangement would be considered for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • lead the music curriculum

  • be passionate about teaching and learning and stimulating children’s curiosity
