Organisational Development Lead - Total Reward

The Role

These are exciting times for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.  Following the local elections in May 2022 and the arrival of our new Chief Executive in October, we’ve got a renewed focus on ensuring we’re the best organisation we can be, and perfectly placed to recruit and retain the best staff to deliver the highest possible standards of service to our residents. We are embarking on a wide-ranging programme of work to transform our organisation, including our ‘Great Employer’ workstream that will ensure we’re recognised as an employer of choice. 

About the role

Along with colleagues, this newly created post of ‘Organisational Development Lead – Total Reward’ will play a key role in ensuring that Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are a truly great place to work, with staff delivering outstanding services. The role will have a particular focus on how we reward staff, to support recruitment, engagement and retention.

Please note, it is a 2-year fixed-term contract.

You’ll need:

To be successful in this post you will be an experienced professional with significant knowledge in the field of Reward and a passion for improving the organisations you are part of.   

You will use your knowledge and experience of best practice in the field and your excellent project management skills to introduce new approaches that ensure the provision of a reward package that is highly valued by staff. 

You will be highly skilled at collecting and analysing data and using this to make informed recommendations for improvements.  You will have excellent organisational skills and digital skills and will have the ability to build relationships across the organisation at all levels.

Interview Date: 24th July 2023 (there will be a presentation as part of the interview)
