Outreach and Provider Support Officer
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Outreach and Provider Support Officer to join a well established and dynamic team, at the Early Years Centre in Siward Road.
The Early Education Childcare Places Service provides information, advice, funding and guidance on childcare and early education in the borough of Wandsworth to parents and carers of children aged 2 – 4 years old.
An Early Education and Childcare Places Team (EECP) provides children with a broad range of knowledge and skills through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities. Funded places are available with childminders, Private Voluntary and Independent settings, pre-schools and local authority schools and the EECP team supports the providers with the Early Education funding process.
This is a very busy role in a friendly team which requires a highly motivated individual, who has strong communication skills and proven outreach experience.
No two days are the same and you will need to be adaptable, giving support to your team colleagues as required. Good organisational skills are essential to enable you to manage a varied workload in this busy front-line office.
You need to be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people including council officers, parents and service users. A Customer Service or outreach background would be an advantage.
Good computer skills are essential, with particular experience of Databases and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) required.
