Parking Operations Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Parking Operations Team. This is a fast moving and dynamic team which will suit talented and ambitious professionals seeking to take the next step in their career. 

Who we are:

The Parking Operations Team is part of ECS (Environment and Community Services Directorate). ECS is responsible for a diverse remit of services across both boroughs such as parks and open spaces, waste management, highways, engineering and planning.

We deliver a broad range of contract and event management opportunities within the team; we also deliver parking operations and enforcement across both Richmond and Wandsworth

You will be joining an already well-established workforce within the Shared Staffing Arrangement in the boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth.

About the role:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Head of Parking Operations, you will assist in the day-to-day monitoring and administration of the Parking Enforcement and other parking contracts in Richmond and Wandsworth;
  • Liaising with contractors to monitor the delivery of the key performance measures in accordance of contractual requirements.
  • You will also have the opportunity to be involved with the procurement of the contracts identifying areas to be included to improve service delivery.
  • Your background will mean you have an understanding and good knowledge of relevant parking policies and legislation, and contract monitoring techniques.
  • You will have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to deal with a range of teams and services on matters that are contentious and difficult whilst presenting information effectively.
  • A good basic understanding of IT systems will be helpful.
  • A will to deliver high quality operations is essential and as being an active part of a high performing team.
