We are seeking to appoint for the role of Pastoral Support Manager.
This is a non-teaching role, responsible for the academic progress and Personal Development and Well Being of individual students in the Year group. Integral to this are responsibilities for administrative matters related to the whole year group, liaison with parents/carers of students in the Year group, guidance for both students and form tutors to develop a positive attitude and ensure behaviour, punctuality and attendance are exemplary.
The post-holder will play a significant role within the year team, working closely with the Year Curriculum Coordinator (YCC) and other relevant staff to lead on the academic progress, personal development and wellbeing of students within a year group. Integral to this role is the candidate’s ability to work collaboratively and efficiently, responding positively and professionally to the needs of students and proactively supporting young people to make the best possible academic and personal progress.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring a robust and effective pastoral curriculum is in place and will work with tutors, subject teachers and the rest of the year team to ensure that students are able to fulfil their potential. The candidate will support the year team in maximising attendance and in fostering a culture of high-aspirations, focus and determination amongst students and staff.
