Payroll and Human Resources Officer - Ashcroft Technology Academy
The Role
Full Time – 36.5 hours per week
Up to 2% Attendance Bonus
On-site parking and gym facilities
Occupational Pension Scheme
With the impending retirement of the existing post holder, Ashcroft Technology Academy is seeking to appoint an individual with practical experience in payroll and/or human resources management to join its Finance and Resources team. The position provides full human resource administration, which will include the timely submission of monthly payroll data for existing staff to our external payroll provider. The maintenance of up-to-date personnel and pay records and assistance in the recruitment processes for new staff will also be required of the role.
The successful applicant will manage the Academy payroll system to run a separate, but small payroll for a group of pensioners who belong to a separate pension plan and will also produce a number of miscellaneous reports and year-end schedules for both payroll and audit purposes. The post holder will also provide first-line support to staff over attendance, pay and pension matters.
Applicants will be expected to be highly numerate and have good literacy and IT skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, will have the ability to work accurately, with excellent attention to detail, and will liaise confidently with other staff members and external agencies. Previous experience of working within a school setting would be an advantage although this is not essential. Some flexibility in hours may be necessary.
