Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to join our Pensions Shared Service as a Pensions Officer- Data Management in our Data Management Team. The Pensions Shared Service, based in Wandsworth, runs the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for five London boroughs: Camden, Merton, Richmond, Waltham Forest, and Wandsworth.

As a Pensions Officer, you will work collaboratively within our Data Management teams to ensure that data improvement plans and data projects are successfully delivered.
Objective of role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Pensions Officer within our Data Management team and gain an industry-standard data qualification. In this role, you will complete the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship standard (15-18 months in length). Our data management team has creative, innovative people who are applying data analysis and automation to help us change our service for the better.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Highly numerate, with the proven ability to incorporate complex rules into calculations.
- Able to determine your own work priorities and manage conflicting demands appropriately.
- Able to recognise when a process or policy is not working as effectively as it could and make suggestions as to how it could be improved.
- Communicate well with a range of audiences including colleagues, Human Resources, Payroll, schools and external employers’ representatives.
- Proficient IT skills with the major Microsoft packages
