Performance Officer

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

The Role

We are looking for a Performance Officer (0.5 FTE) to lead on the coordination and production of the Environment and Community Directorate Key Performance Indicators, both in terms of supporting Heads of Service and in providing a quality assurance role. As part of this function you would be helping with benchmarking, providing information to the senior management team and members as well as leading on data quality improvements.

The postholder will also be responsible for the further development of Equalities and Diversity across the Directorate, supporting Heads of Service with carrying out assessments, but also leading on specific projects such as setting up a disabilities access group to gather input into the design of environmental and planning schemes.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation – not only would you be providing performance advice to managers in two different local authorities, but also you would be able to use your broader skills to help to improve processes and to help the Directorate deliver even better outcomes.

We are looking for a proactive and customer focused individual who is capable of detailed analysis but who can also demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, particularly in relation to both ICT developments and wider continuous improvement.

We are a small friendly team and work in a collaborative way. Formed 2 years ago, we are now looking to make a step change in how we operate, and are seeking someone who brings ideas and energy as well as sound technical skills.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance.  These include flexible hours and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.

In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops, and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities are also offered.

Richmond and Wandsworth are currently reviewing our pay, reward and benefits framework, in partnership with Trade Union colleagues. We are developing different options that make sure we have a fair and transparent system in place.
