Future First, the Leaving Care Service for Wandsworth Children’s Social Care, are looking for passionate and dedicated Personal Advisors to join us for 1x permanent and 1x fixed term (12 month maternity cover) posts. 

Supporting an allocated group of Care Experienced young people aged 16-25, you will be responsible for delivering a high quality and impactful support service to them under the Leaving Care Act 2000 and the Children and Social Work Act 2017. You will be responsible for ensuring that all domains of their Pathway Plan are progressing and that the young people are benefitting from their positive relationship with you.

Reporting to your Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that you are meeting performance targets weekly and that you are making a positive impact on young people’s lives.

You will have:

  • Worked previously with Care Experienced young people.
  • Experience of working with young adults in challenging circumstances.
  • Great communication skills with an anti-discriminatory focussed approach.
  • Experience producing high quality assessments and reports.
  • An awareness of Trauma Informed practice and who understands the key issues for Care Experienced young people.

You will be based across our Hub building close to Clapham Junction station, home working and work out in the community and we work in a flexible and young person focussed way. 

You will be provided with all of the IT equipment and training you need to undertake your role, as part of your induction.

We offer agile working although Teams are based at the office a minimum of 1 week per month as part of a duty rota.
