London living wage (£13.15 per hour)

Belleville Primary School is building a team to run our brand new breakfast club and after school club programme, launching in September 2024.
Hours will be dependent on whether you support the breakfast club, the after school club or both.
Breakfast Club working hours are 7:15am to 9:00am Monday to Friday.
After School Club working hours are 2:45pm to 6:30pm Monday to Friday.
We seek enthusiastic, positive people who work well with children, staff and parents, and can remain calm when there is lots going on!
You will support children to participate in engaging and enriching activities, and make sure they follow relevant policies and procedures to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
This is a brand new provision, and an exciting development for the school.
The role will involve:
• Providing care for the children attending the programme, supervising them during activities and when eating, and ensuring they feel safe and looked after at all times.
• Encouraging positive behaviour (“Making the Right Choices”), independence and self-esteem.
• Making sure equipment is set up, used, maintained and put away safely.
• Ensuring the safe transfer of children to class (after breakfast club) or collection (after school).

You will have:
• experience of working with children of primary school age
• an understanding of good quality childcare
• an understanding of safeguarding and child protection duties
• the ability to engage children in fun and developmental activities
• empathy, sensitivity and great communication skills
• high expectations of yourself and others.
