Salary - (Ark Support Staff Band 8, point 23-29)
36 hours per week.

At Bolingbroke Academy we work inside a beautiful listed building and require a Premises Manager to help us maintain its glory, as well as providing a safe and comfortable environment for its students and staff.
Key responsibilities
- To keep on top of and manage any repairs as well with the Premises Assistants – general maintenance skills are essential
- Set and undertake a long-term building and services maintenance plan.
- Ensure that all mechanical, electrical and public health installations are fully operational.
- Be responsible for the generation of and completion of a programme of Academy decoration. Implement the programme to ensure decoration of the building is address in an appropriately prioritised manner.
- Dealing directly with contractors, collating quotes/ pricing, and ensuring all works are completed to the specification and on schedule for time and budget.
- Staff management - from delegating duties and monitoring staff to supporting their development and managing performance.
- A strong understanding of H&S regulations and how to implement them are necessary.
- Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Logistical preparation for external and internal events such as Speech Day, parents’ evenings and Sports Day
Essential Skills - Experience and Knowledge
- The successful candidate will need to have previous experience of managing a building such ideally as complex as a school, hospital or large listed buildings

- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Resilience and motivation to lead the academy through day-to-day challenges.
- Able to skilfully manage and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and your team.
- You will need to take pride in your work and have ownership over the role as well as a real can-do attitude.
