Premises Manager - Linden Lodge School

The Role

Hours: Full Time
Working Pattern: 36 Hours Per week, 52 weeks per year
Required: April 2020
Linden Lodge School is a leading provider of education for visually-impaired children and young people aged 2 – 19 years. We are constantly building and growing our provision. The school is currently seeking a co-ordinated, pro-active and highly skilled Premises Manager to join our team.
We have a three acre campus in Wimbledon with good transport links (8 minutes’ walk from Southfields underground station on the district line and well positioned for 493 and 39 bus routes) containing several purpose built facilities including a swimming pool, residential unit and outdoor space for which the postholder will be responsible for overseeing.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with extensive DIY experience as well as experience of being responsible for the care and maintenance of school premises. The successful candidate will have leadership experience and be a key player in ensuring the high standards of compliance are maintained and that facilities are safe and fit for purpose. The postholder will also be able to meet the requirements outlined in the person specification, pro-actively engage with the management team and be able to communicate effectively with multiple deadlines.
Experience of managing a complex site within an education setting would be an advantage.

• An experienced site manager and team leader with relevant facilities management experience
• Resilient, passionate, ambitious and ready to take responsibility for our buildings and facilities
• Highly organised, self-directed reliable and dependable
• Have a range of practical skills and be ready to use them to help maintain our site
• Able to work with and coordinate contractors ensuring that they work safely, to specification and timescales, holding them accountable where they do not with a high degree of independence
• Work to build positive relationships with our lettings customers and other very important stakeholders
• Trustworthy
