The Role

We have an exciting procurement role working in the housing management team based in Wandsworth Council. You will play an active role providing tender and contract preparation support as well as advice with regards to all works, services and goods tendered by the department. You should be able to balance the strategic with the operational. Knowledge of public sector procurement practices would be an advantage but key to your success in this role will be your ability to advise and support senior managers on any large-scale procurement.

You will also need to have a working knowledge of housing and an understanding of the nature of support, maintenance and major works contracts. The Council offers you an exciting role where you can contribute a great deal to developing and improving services and the environment for its residents.

In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance.  These include a 36 hour working week with some working from home (depending on service needs) and a generous holiday allowance, 31 days plus bank holidays.  In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as Performance Related Pay, membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments.
