Job Title: Programme Planning Officer
Salary Range: £37,766 - £47,830 per annum
Fixed Term – Fulltime
Location: Wandsworth & Richmond / Hybrid
Other essential information: The post-holder will be expected to spend a minimum of 2 days per week in the office and ideally more.
Objective of role
You will be part of a team ensuring that critical transformation and change activities across Richmond and Wandsworth Better Service Partnership are effectively managed and appropriately governed, in order to deliver wider benefits to residents.
About the role
You will be providing Programme and Project support to a range of stakeholders, principally your colleagues in the Change Team who project manage some of the organisation’s critical priorities, and to senior managers leading the Change Programme and other key change activity in the organisation. This covers a wide range of portfolio, programme and project related activities, including:
- Providing project and programme support to the Change Team, working closely with senior managers to support reporting, analysis and delivery.
- Lead on and assist with the production of Programme documentation, such as Programme Board papers, Programme plans, risk registers – ensuring strict version control and folder organisation is maintained
- Support the Assistant Director with the tracking of benefits and other Programme performance monitoring information, reporting to the Programme Board.
- Assists with the production of programme reports and presentations – in particular Programme Dashboard and Portfolio Highlight reports - coordinating the input from Portfolios and other colleagues within the required timescales
- Supports the development of programme management tools, templates and processes.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
This is a wide ranging job. Essential to your success will be skills or qualifications:
•Project experience, ideally a large project or programme in which you have been involved in planning and preparing key documents. A project related qualification is desirable but not essential.
•Ability to communicate effectively with high standard of English Language skills – both orally and in writing – including with senior managers and external stakeholders.
•Manage a varied workload, be flexible with the ability to prioritise tasks and work at pace.
•Work as an effective team member but also independently. This would suit someone looking for opportunities to take the initiative more.
•You should be very comfortable with IT and the usual MS apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) but you embrace emerging technology to ensure the Change Team and the Change Programme are as efficient as they can be.
