Property Management Officer

The Role

We are looking for a Property Management Officer to provide a fully comprehensive housing management service to clients in all directly managed temporary accommodation dispersed across and outside both Councils.

You will be joining a friendly and hardworking team during a time of transformational change where every day offers an opportunity to make a positive difference to individuals who require housing related support.

The Housing Services division manages a range of housing functions from homelessness, assessing housing applications, offering housing to applicants to adapting properties for disabled applicants.

About you;

Excellent motivated team player

Able to set and achieve personal targets that make an impact on team performance and efficiency

First rate problem solver with the ability to use own initiative

Able to communicate effectively with a range of people including residents and landlords

Able to provide excellent customer care skills and the ability to mediate and resolve challenges

Experience of property inspections and the basic knowledge of building maintenance and the ability to recognise and identify simple repairs

The ability to drive/use public transport to carry out property inspections in line with current guidance and the law

Experience of dealing with members of the public in stressful situations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience of working under pressure with the ability to prioritise and organise your own workload in order to meet deadlines.

Experience of working as part of a team showing flexibility and support to other team members.
