Richmond and Wandsworth Councils have an exciting opportunity to join the Sexual Health Commissioning team in the Commissioning and Quality Standards division of the Adult Social Care and Public Health Directorate:
Commissioning Officer –Sexual Health within the Public Health department
The position is well suited to someone motivated and passionate about improving the health of people living in London boroughs of Richmond Upon Thames and Wandsworth, especially those from underserved communities more likely to experience poorer health.
The postholders will be confident in working with a range of internal and external partners to shape and deliver local priorities.
In the role, you will support and deliver a range of commissioning activities including:
- the planning and development of services
- procurement of new services
- maintenance of provider and stakeholder relationships supporting local needs assessments and service reviews to inform new service models to better meet the needs and lifestyles of our residents.
The role will require you to be highly organised, with an ability to work on and be involved in a variety of activities and projects.
You will be highly motivated, creative in your thinking, and persistent in seeking solutions. You will also be a team player open to learning from and working with others, passionate about facilitating positive change for individuals, communities and the local population.
An interest and some experience of working in the field of Public Health commissioning is essential for this role. Specific experience in the field of sexual and reproductive health, is highly desirable.
