Where you’ll be working
You’ll be working at the Phone Hub, the Sport & Fitness Service telephone service (which currently operates 8am to 4pm* Monday to Sunday). The Phone Hub is based at Shene Sports & Fitness Centre, Park Avenue, East Sheen SW14 8AT. But you may be asked to work from our Richmond and Twickenham sites if the need arises.
*We are considering expanding the operational hours of the Phone Hub service in the future to potentially cover evenings.
This role is for 21 hours per week on a shift rota, that may consist of weekday and weekend shifts.
The Sport & Fitness Service are responsible for the management of 4 dual-use Sports & Fitness Centres, Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre and Pools on the Park in Richmond, as well as a centrally based Sports Development Team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll join our front of house team, working hard to ensure that every customer has a great experience when they visit or contact us.
Providing professional and friendly assistance with bookings / enquiries and welcoming visitors to the centre. Taking payments, operating a computerised till and reconciling money.

What we’ll need from you
For this role, you’ll must have experience of:
- working in an office/admin or leisure environment
- dealing with the public in a customer care/customer facing role
- handing and reconciling money
- using a computerised till/making financial transactions
You’ll also need excellent communication and organisation skills.
In addition, knowledge of Health & Safety issues and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service are required.

Actual salary progression range for 21 hours per week is £11,771 to £13,828pa.
