Registration Service Manager

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth Council present an opportunity to be part of a team who are working together to create a ground-breaking Shared Staffing Arrangement across both boroughs. The Registration Service plays a part in some of the most important moments in the lives of our residents. We seek the permanent appointment of a Registration Service Manager, based primarily in Wandsworth, to fill this key role in our organisation and help raise our already high standards, even higher.

Leading on Registrations and Ceremonies you will be responsible for driving standards in the delivery of our statutory functions. With a comprehensive knowledge of registration law and practice, your focus will be on statutory compliance, quality assurance, technical expertise and attainment against KPIs. Ideally, you will have experience of leading and motivating staff, operational planning, and developing a positive workplace culture, focused on performance, learning and improvement.

Responsible for the day to day management of the service in conjunction with the Business Development Manager, you will be visible and hands-on in supporting and developing your team. Bringing energy, initiative, and a structured approach to your work, you will becapable of responding effectively toimmediate service demands,whilstdeliveringlonger-term projects and legislative changes.

With the full support of the Head of Service you will be encouraged to develop your role and take further training. Opportunities to represent the service at regional meetings, working groups, and conferences will allow for wide collaboration and innovation, enabling you to make a significant contribution.
