Resident Volunteer

The Role

We are looking for a calm, resourceful, energetic individual who is motivated, hardworking and keen to make a positive difference in the lives of young adults.

As a Residential Volunteer, the role requires you to support young people to build all of the independence skills they need to enable them to move into their own accommodation in the community.

The position offers rent free 7-days-per-week accommodation in a spacious 4-bedroom house in Chessington in return for offering day-to-day support and guidance to these young adults some of whom will share a house with you.

The successful applicant will be working alongside the Leaving care Team in Wandsworth, providing updates to professionals and contributing to the Young People’s Pathway Plan. The successful applicant will be supported via regular supervision with the Housing Manager and additional practice development support from members of the Leaving care Team

We would like anyone interested in the role to have experience working with young people and be committed to improving outcomes for Care Experienced Young People. We are looking for candidates who can commit to the position for a minimum of 12 months and who demonstrate good organisation and communication skills.

The role requires enhanced DBS checks for both Adults and Children
