SEN Teaching Assistant - Honeywell Infant School

30 hours a week (9.00 am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday)
Term time only plus INSET days
Required from September 2023


Honeywell Infant School is a popular oversubscribed school situated between Wandsworth and Clapham Commons.  We are looking for a talented individual to join our friendly and supportive school.  

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with children on the Autistic Spectrum supporting the children in a mainstream classroom. You will work with the class teacher to enable the children to access the curriculum, support in the delivery of specific programmes related to the children’s needs as well as more general small group work.  Experience of working with children is essential and experience of working with children with special needs would be an advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be an expectation, together with the ability to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team.  The post would provide perfect experience for individuals who are thinking of pursuing a career in teaching at a later date.  If you are enthusiastic, energetic and want to make a difference to children’s learning we would like to hear from you.  Qualifications in English and Maths are essential.
