School Business Manager - Ernest Bevin College

Ernest Bevin College, whose students are aged between 11-19, is a vibrant and a truly inclusive all boys college with a mixed sixth form.  Based in Tooting, South West London, our college takes pride in having an exceptional level of pastoral care where all staff are dedicated to giving each and every student both a quality learning experience and the life skills that opens doors to any career path they wish to tread in the future.

Our students, governors and staff are now seeking to appoint a strong and inspirational School Business Manager who is not only forward-thinking but has the passion and commitment to lead and work within a strong business and operations team.

We consider this to be a key strategic role which plays a full and active part in our Leadership Team and are therefore looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • strong leadership and management skills to build on the impressive achievements which have already been gained and to ensure continuous college development
  • excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
  • the ability to strategically lead, value, inspire and motivate others
  • a dedication in ensuring the best possible educational experience for young people.

The post holder will have responsibility for the operational management of the college: HR, Facilities, Network Services and Administration, and will work alongside the Finance Manager and with the Governing Body.  Each of these areas are heavily supported by experienced staff and in some cases colleagues who already lead and make a significant contribution to the college in their roles.

We feel fortunate that the college is based in a diverse, vibrant and social community which has an excellent variety of transport links and this makes us easily accessible.  Staff also benefit from our onsite facilities such as a swimming pool and fitness studio which can be used outside of the college day.
