Senior Administrator and HR Officer - Belleville Primary School - Quality First Education Trust
The Role
36 Hours per week
Required ASAP
Belleville Primary School is a popular, successful school in the Battersea/Clapham area of south London. With four to five forms of entry every year, we have around 1,000 children and 100 staff spread across our two sites, near Clapham common. Belleville is part of the Quality First Education (Q1E) Trust, a multi academy trust established in 2017. The trust has three other schools: Belleville Wix Academy in Battersea, The Alton School in Roehampton and Churchfields Primary School in Beckenham.
We are currently looking for an experienced administrator to support the senior leadership team as well as a range of HR/personnel duties for the school, with day-to-day oversight of the administration of school recruitment, human resources and payroll duties, as well as general administrative support to the headteachers and their senior leadership team. The role is an exciting opportunity to help develop our office functions, in order to support our staff and ultimately to improve the provision for the children we serve. The role is also likely to include some support to other schools within the trust.
We are looking for candidates who
- have strong interpersonal skills and work well with others, as part of a busy team
- are sensitive and discreet, and understand confidentiality
- have strong IT skills and a good standard of literacy and numeracy
- are flexible, adaptable to new procedures, and willing to learn and develop
- understand the diverse workload required within a school/academy trust.
An HR/personnel background is not an essential requirement, although we are very interested in applicants who hold or are working towards an HR qualification.
Experience of working within a school is desirable, and we are very interested in applicants with some prior experience of school management systems such as SIMs.
You will be well supported by the school team, the trust’s contracted support services for HR and payroll, and the trust’s central finance and operations team.
For internal candidates within the trust, there is an option for the post to be a secondment, with a term to be agreed between your school and the trust. It may be possible for this to be a part time position.
