Senior Community Safety Consultant
The Role
Keeping Wandsworth and Richmond Safe is a key priority for the respective Community Safety Partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the shared services across the two boroughs, leading on the strategic and operational approach to community safety.
Providing expert advise on addressing key community safety issues of concern facing both boroughs to Council Committees, the Community Safety Partnerships and developing strong multi-agency partnerships will be key to this post.
You will need to bring with you strong knowledge of the statutory duties, national and regional policy and good practice as it relates to community safety.
Broad knowledge of community safety covering areas such as Violence, Anti-social Behaviour, Violence against Women and Girls and Prevent is essential.
You will also bring direct or transferrable skills which will allow you to lead complex projects through the Council’s governance systems.
Strong leadership skills and a confident communicator are essential.
You will need to be flexible in how you work, have good analytical skills and be a strong report writer.
