About Us

        Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are recruiting a Senior Manager- Strategic Market Management and Service Acquisition. To join the Service Acquisition Commissioning teams in the Adult Social Care and Public Health Directorate.

This post will be well suited to innovative and motivated individual who are passionate about improving the opportunities and lives of people supported by Adult Social Care and have demonstrable experience in building effective teams and fostering positive relationships with providers and partners.

At the heart of our work is promoting the independence, choice, health and wellbeing of the local populations through strengths-based approaches.  In this role you will undertake, manage, and deliver a range of commissioning activities. 

Senior Manager- Strategic Market Management and Service Acquisition

You and your team will manage the day-to-day acquisition of care and support for residents assessed by our social work teams. A key function of the team is to commission and negotiate directly with the social care marketplace both within and outside of both boroughs.

You will be tenacious and creative in working with local providers to ensure high quality and effective services are available that demonstrate value for money. You will lead on the development of effective processes for the collection and presentation of social care marketplace information and intelligence on service needs, trends and identify gaps in provision to inform future strategic commissioning priorities.
