Swaffield is a happy and successful school that is committed to its staff and pupils. We are looking for the right person to lead our established team of caring, patient and enthusiastic staff who supervise the children’s lunch and make playtime an exciting and enjoyable experience.

Under the direction of the Headteacher, the Senior Midday Meals Supervisor leads and is responsible for a team of Meals Supervisors for the effective supervision of the school's pupils during the mid-day break in and about the premises.
  
1. Allocating instructions and duties to Midday/ Meals Supervisors and supervising them accordingly.
2. Exercising general responsibility for the behaviour of children during the mid-day break, ensuring that health and safety practices concerning the children are maintained.
3. Upholding a positive system of behaviour for all children in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
4. To be fully aware of and understand the duties and responsibilities arising from the Children Act 2004 and Working Together in relation to child protection and safeguarding children and young people as this applies to the worker’s role within the organisation.
5. To ensure that the worker’s line manager is made aware and kept fully informed of any concerns which the worker may have in relation to safeguarding and/or child protection.
