Senior Planning Administration Officer

The Role

Following the re-organisation of the Development Management Technical Support and validation teams in Richmond and Wandsworth, we have exciting opportunities for a Senior Planning Administration Support Officer. Managing a team of officers operating for both Richmond and Wandsworth Planning Teams, you will be responsible to the Planning Technical Support Manager for ensuring the delivery of a high quality, good value, at speed administrative support function for the Planning and Transport Division.  You will take a pro-active role in the allocation of the teams day-to-day resources to ensure the delivery of successful planning outcomes. You will assist in ensuring that all customers receive a polite, professional and timely service for their requests for information and processing of their planning applications.

You will assist the Planning Technical Support Manager in maximising opportunities for on-line and self-service developments within the dedicated IT system, ensure best practice for all areas of the service and ensure that all Technical Support tasks are undertaken in an efficient manner.

You will have excellent communication and customer-care skills, the ability to work flexibly, and manage a busy and high performing team. You will be  IT literate and look to use your knowledge to ensure efficiency and maintain performance, while we will provide you with opportunities to undertake relevant training to help you develop in your role and further progress your career.
