Senior Sheltered Housing Officer
About Us
We are seeking an enthusiastic, effective and committed Senior Sheltered Housing Officer who is passionate about the delivery of excellent public sector housing services, to join our dedicated professional Sheltered Housing team, to provide excellent line management to Sheltered Housing Officers and help deliver a first class service to our Sheltered Housing residents developing strong communities and encouraging active residents in an exciting and welcoming environment.
About the role
- Experience of working with older people or people with vulnerabilities.
- The ability to assess needs for housing and support.
- Experience in management of staff, mental health, health and support services will be an advantage.
- Someone who strives for success, who aligns with our values and who mirrors our desire to develop the best services possible for our customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You will be well organised with the ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively under pressure, including managing emergency situations.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Able to demonstrate the principles of staff supervision and management in the context of workin within a dispersed team.
Ability to work in a team
Ability to lead, motivate, coach colleagues and assess training needs
Experience of using various computer applications include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Ability to communicate with tenants who have complex needs or problems and a knowledge of the range of services and benefits provided by other agencies.
