Senior Social Care Advisor

The Role

12 month fixed term contract

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Advisor to join our fast paced, dynamic First Contact team based covering Wandsworth.

We have embarked on an ambitious transformation programme to redesign our Front Door and transform our practice to achieve our vision, which has recently changed the way we operate.  Our vision for the Front Door is a vibrant service model where staff have quality conversations with residents ensuring they make every contact count to support residents to stay independent.

We are now looking for someone with a passion for transformation and improvement and delivering the best to residents to help solidify this change.

The successful candidate will work closely with their team and the Community Advice and Support Team to ensure that the service promotes independence and strengths in line with the Richmond and Wandsworth's values and behaviours.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience managing people, allocating work and managing performance
  • Have good report writing skills, IT skills and is able to manage various work streams, within specific time scales.
  • Ensure the team undertakes its statutory functions under the Care Act 2014 and in accordance with the Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults
  • Have a commitment towards strength-based outcomes and working with other health professionals and voluntary sector organisations.
  • Have a keen interest in change and leading change.
  • Have an ability to build good relationships with other professional bodies and community organisations.
