Service Infrastructure Officer
Full-Time, 36 hours per week on shift rota
Starting salary of £33,094pa

  • Then we need you to join the team responsible for looking after the service infrastructure, including health & safety, facilities management, improvement projects and special events.

Where you’ll be working
You’ll be based at Pools on the Park in Richmond, but the role will involve duties across all 6 of the Borough's Sport & Fitness facilities. So, you'll be expected to travel around the Borough as required and work from any facility under the management of the service.

What you’ll be doing
 You’ll work alongside the Service Infrastructure Manager and maintenance team within Sport & Fitness Services, providing a co-ordinated response across all infrastructure items, so that services run smoothly and with as little disruption as possible.

Assisting with the Facilities Management (FM) performance and maintenance schedules for the service, project programming and health & safety compliance.

You’ll also get “hands on” and be involved in the day to day plant operations at our pools sites. Stepping in and providing cover for Duty Manager shortages and supporting with rota cover, as the need arises.

You'll assist with the planning and delivery of key service projects and events, such as swimming galas, ICT projects, and the summer season opening of the outdoor pool and grounds.

What we’ll need from you
Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.

You’ll need ALL of the following qualifications in order to be considered for this role:

  • Suitable leisure or management qualification.
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Pool Plant Operators qualification.
  • Health & Safety Level 2 or above (or recognised equivalent) qualification.
  • Legionella Management (or recognised equivalent) qualification.

You must also have previous experience of working at management level within a leisure/fitness facility.

Good knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, event and project management skills, and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of service are also key requirements.

You’ll be working 36 hours per week on a shift rota and flexibility will be required to work unsociable hours if the need arises.

Starting salary of £33,094pa
(salary progression scale for SO2 is £33,094 to £40,102pa)
