Service Manager - Community Engagement & Wandsworth Safeguarding Children Partnership

We are looking for a Service Manager to join our Participation and Community Engagement Service – Limitless. 

You’ll oversee and manage the operational delivery of the Wandsworth Safeguarding Partnership, its Executive and its sub groups. In doing you will support the Safeguarding Partners and Relevant Agencies in co-ordinating their safeguarding services; acting as a strategic leadership group in supporting and engaging others; and implementing local and national learning including from serious child safeguarding incidents, as defined in Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2018. You will also lead and manage projects and initiatives that enable communities to be heard and to influence how we deliver services. Developing an approach across communities and our safeguarding partnership which enables community voices and experiences to contribute to strategic as well as operational decision making. 

This role sits within the Participation and Community Engagement Service and you will directly manage two team managers and a Business Support Officer and report to the Head of Service.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your CV and personal statement will clearly evidence:

  • Degree or equivalent level professional qualification (e.g. Social Care, Education, Health or Police), or able to demonstrate this specialist knowledge through extended experience and training
  • Understand key legislation and statutory guidance
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Project management
  • The ability to communicate and engage with frontline staff, community members, strategic leaders, elected members and members of the public
  • Ability to use data and feedback to drive improvements
  • Proven report writing ability.
