Service Manager (Referral and Assessment)

The Role

There are over 60,000 children and young adults currently living in Wandsworth.  In October last year, 1,731 were in need of specialist children’s services. 

We have some difficult challenges ahead of us, but we are an ambitious, united and driven team who are working together to safeguard the most vulnerable children in  Wandsworth. It is with this resolve and determination to do the right thing, that we are inviting an experienced manager to join us.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional and high performing Service Manager for our Referral and Assessment service including; the Front Door, 4 Assessment teams , Out of Hours, Hospital team and the MASH. 

The appointee will have high energy, enthusiasm and motivation to continue to drive forward the improvements in Wandsworth Council's Social Care Service.  The successful post holder should have significant experience of front-line services and be absolutely driven by delivering the best possible care and outcomes for all children in care.

This is an exciting time in Wandsworth Children Services. There have been massive changes across the service including our new Induction, our new Social Care Academy and other service improvements which are driving up the quality of practice focussing on impact and outcomes. We need your skill and expertise to work with us on our improvement journey to make a difference to the lives of Wandsworth children and families.
