We are recruiting 4 Specialist Cleaning Operatives to clean mould from our residential housing for Richmond and Wandsworth Council. This role does not require previous experience training and equipment including PPE will be provided.

You will be working around the borough of Wandsworth and will need to drive. You will need to have a resilient and can-do attitude. This is a busy but rewarding role with the average of 2-3 sites to be cleaned per day. 

The Council is committed to minimising the harmful impact that damp and mould has on residents and will do everything in our power to support tenants who are experiencing such problems in their homes. To ensure a robust, prompt and efficient service to requests from tenants, we introduced an in-house team to combat the issue.

This role is currently dedicated solely to the removal of mould, however as the new team progresses, there may be instances where other specialist cleaning may be required.

You will be expected to complete a 36-hour week, Monday – Friday 7.2 hours daily with the start time between 0700 and 0900 dependent on demand and availability of residents to allow access. Training and uniform will be provided along with all equipment and transport.

We recognise the importance of a good balance between work and home life so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working including, however there is no facility to work from home in this role. We offer a generous holiday allowance of 40 paid days (pro rata) including bank holidays and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
