Speech and Language Therapist (Hearing Impairment) - Linden Lodge School

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our highly skilled, specialist team working with secondary aged students with a hearing impairment. This role is based at our specialist Rowan Hearing Support Centre within Southfields Academy. 

The postholder will have experience working with hearing impaired children and young people and supporting them to develop their language and communication skills. You will use your specialist knowledge to assess each student and develop language programmes tailored to the needs and goals of that student. The postholder will also be aware of the challenges students with a hearing impairments may face within education and how they can work closely with students to overcome these.

Many of the students within the Rowan Centre have cochlear implants or hearing aids so previous experience working with this technology would be desirable.

Due to the nature of the post, this post can only be undertaken in person. Candidates must therefore be willing and able to travel to Southfields Academy.
