We are looking for people who are passionate, dedicated people who, like us, are determined to make real, positive change to people who visit our sports centres to take part in a wide range of sports and fitness activities.

Current opportunities within our Sports and Fitness Centres:

Leisure Assistant (Lifeguards based at swimming pool sites)
£10.55 per hour plus holiday enhancement

Our Lifeguards look after all our swimming pools, help swimmers to stay safe and carry out rescues in emergencies. You’ll need to have completed the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

Duty Manager – (based at swimming pool sites)
£11.69 per hour plus holiday enhancement

Our Duty Managers have a lot of responsibility to manage the centre and supervise staff. You'll have the experience of working in a leisure / fitness environment and ideally have a sporting / recreation or management qualification.  NPLQ, first aid qualification and some experience would be desirable.

Duty Manager – (based at sport centres)
£10.55 per hour plus holiday enhancement

Our Duty Managers have a lot of responsibility to manage the centre and supervise staff. You'll have the experience of working in a leisure / fitness environment and ideally have a sporting / recreation or management qualification.  First aid qualification and some experience would be desirable.

Whether you're a Lifeguard, Duty Manager or working anywhere in our sports centres, you'll need:

• Great customer service skills and be able to work well under pressure.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• An ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Relevant qualifications.

Please note all the positions advertised are casual appointments. You will be required to work as, and when required to cover sickness and annual leave. 

Further information

We follow the safeguarding advice and procedures of the LSCB and SAB to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people and vulnerable adults using our sports and fitness services which requires staff working in our sports centre to complete a DBS check. You will be unable to start work until this check has been completed, unless you are a member of the DBS Update Service which allows you to work with both vulnerable children and adults.
